Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use WrapClock, including people with disabilities. We built the site with accessibility in mind and keep checking it, and this page describes where things stand.
The standard
We work to meet Israeli Standard 5568, which is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at level AA. Most of the site meets this level. Known limitations are listed below.
What has been done
- Keyboard. Every page can be used with the keyboard alone, and the element in focus is clearly marked. In the control room, the space bar starts and pauses the clock and the arrow keys move between speakers.
- Screen readers. Buttons, fields and links have clear names, errors are announced, and every page declares its language and reading direction, so Hebrew is read right to left and English left to right.
- More than color. The speaker screen does not rely on color alone: next to the green, amber and red it shows the time left and writes "Wrap up" and "Time's up".
- Contrast and size. Text and buttons have enough contrast with their background, and pages can be enlarged with the browser's zoom without losing content.
- Movement. Nothing on the site flashes, and if your device is set to reduce motion, the site turns off its animations.
- Phones and tablets. The pages adapt to any screen size.
Known limitations
- The speaker screen is a visual display, made to be read from a distance by the person on stage. Its countdown is not read aloud second by second, so as not to interrupt a screen reader. The control room shows the same state as text.
- The examples of the speaker screen on the home page and in the guides are illustrations, and are described in the text around them.
How we check
We test the site with automated accessibility tools and by using it with the keyboard alone, in Hebrew and in English, on a computer and on a phone. The last check was in November 2026.
